Product Name: Fas antibody [DX2]
Applications: FACS
Predicted Target Size:
Positive Controls: Raji
Form Supplied:
Concentration:
Purification: Purified immunoglobulin
Full Name: Fas cell surface death receptor
Background: Many cells can be activated to undergo apoptosis following the interaction of selected ligands with cell surface receptors. One of the most studied receptors include the Fas receptor. Apoptosis mediated by both signaling cascades results in activation of a family of cystein proteases known as caspases. Engagement of Fas by its ligand, or by an appropriate antibody, results in the rapid induction of programmed cell death in susceptible cell lines. This process bypasses the usual long sequence of signaling enzymes and immediately activates preexisting caspases.
Synonyms: CD95, FAS1, APO1, Apo-1 Fas, Apo1 Fas, 355, APT1, FASTM, P25445, 134637, ALPS1A, APO-1, FAS, TNFRSF6, APO 1, Apo 1 Fas
Cellular Localization:
CAS NO: 287194-38-1
product targets : HDAC inhibitors
Host: Mouse
Clonality: Monoclonal
Isotype: IgG1
Immunogen: murine L cells transfected with a human Fas/CD95 cDNA.
Antigen Species: Human
Species Reactivity: Human
Conjugation: Unconjugated
Storage Buffer: 0.01M PBS pH7.4, 15 mM sodium azide
Storage Instruction: Keep as concentrated solution. For short-term storage, store at 4° C (up to 10 days). For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20ºC or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Notes: For In vitro laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
Specificity: Reacts specifically with the functional epitope of human Fas (CD95/Apo-1) antigen. By immunoblotting, the clone recognizes denatured, non-reduced recombinant human Fas (amino acid residues 1-173). The antibody is reactive in flow cytometry, and may be reactive in the induction of apoptosis.
